JOHNROSE startete 2015 als Studioprojekt mit ausschließlich eigenen Songs des Koblenzer Künstlers Johannes Rösgen mit Veröffentlichung des ersten Albums "Behind The Gates" in 2015.

Die musikalischen Wurzeln von JOHNROSE liegen in den facettenreichen 70ern im Prog-, Melodic- & Artrock.
Beeinflusst und inspiriert wird JOHNROSE von so grandiosen Künstlern bzw. Bands wie Manfred Mann's Earthband, Alan Parsons, Toto, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Gerry Rafferty und Al Stewart.

JOHNROSE started in 2015 as a studio project with exclusively own songs by the Koblenz artist Johannes Rösgen with the release of the first album "Behind The Gates" in 2015.
Further albums followed in 2018 with "THE KEY" and in 2020 with "WINGS".
The musical roots of JOHNROSE lie in the multifaceted 70s in prog, melodic & art rock. JOHNROSE is influenced and inspired by great artists and bands like Manfred Mann's Earthband, Alan Parsons, Toto, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Gerry Rafferty and Al Stewart.

Es ist ein vielseitig-stimmungsvoller Mix aus Prog, hochklassigem Pop mit wunderschönen Melodien, kräftigem Rock, der mit vielen genialen Sound-Arrangements fasziniert.

Der Opener "Calling For You" beginnt mit einem Albtraum darüber, wie jemand verzweifelt nach seinem Präsidenten ruft, jedoch keine Antwort erhält. Die Single-Auskopplung thematisiert die Sehnsucht nach einer Führungsperson, die Verantwortung übernimmt, und endet in einer ruhigen und intimen Atmosphäre, die von Vertrauen und gegenseitigem Respekt geprägt ist.
Der folgende Track "Manner Of Travelling" ist zugleich auch die zweite Single und befasst sich damit, dass sich die Welt immer schneller dreht und wir irgendwann aus der Umlaufbahn fliegen.
Obwohl es in der Geschichte der Menschheit noch nie so viele Innovationen gab, die das Leben leichter machen, haben viele das Gefühl, immer getriebener zu sein. Hier geht es um die Kunst der Entschleunigung sowie den Einfluss der Gedanken und der inneren Einstellung auf das Gefühlsleben und letztlich um das eigene Glück.
"The Curtains Are Falling" hingegen ist eine Hommage an den Surrealismus des japanischen Autors Haruki Murakami, bei dem sich Fantasie und Realität vermischen.

Die berührende Erinnerung an die gemeinsamen Momente inspirierte den Musiker dazu, diesen Song über Abschied, Dankbarkeit und Hoffnung zu schreiben.
Der faszinierend außergewöhnliche Titeltrack "The Prophet’s Dance" ist die finale Single und nimmt metaphorisch die tiefgründige Perspektive eines Wals als Propheten ein. Opener "Calling For You" begins with a nightmare about someone frantically calling for their president but getting no answer. The single release deals with the longing for a leader who takes responsibility and ends in a quiet and intimate atmosphere that is characterized by trust and mutual respect.
The following track "Manner Of Travelling" is also the second single and deals with the fact that the world is turning faster and faster and we will eventually fly out of orbit.
Although there have never been so many innovations in human history that make life easier, many feel they are becoming more and more driven. This is about the art of deceleration and the influence of thoughts and inner attitude on emotional life and ultimately on one's own happiness.
